Principal's message

Dear Canyon View Families,

The first three full weeks of school are in the books and the students and staff at Canyon View Elementary are starting to settle into our routines.  I want to thank all of our families who attended our Curriculum Nights this week and we hope the evenings were informative and you were able to learn about your child’s day here at school.  As mentioned during our Curriculum Nights, we will continue to work hard to keep the lines of communication open with our families.  We fully understand how important it is to build and maintain a strong school-home partnership and we appreciate your support!

As we continue our roll out of the new CFSD Strategic Plan, Envision21: Deep Learning we will focus on specific aspects of the plan to give our families a better understanding of the direction we are headed as a district and as a school.  This week, we have included our revised CFSD mission and vision statements and our shared core values.  At the school level, we have started the second phase of the branding process for our school.  Clearly defining the unique selling points and core values for our school is an important step in this process.  When we have completed our work, we will want every adult and child associated with our learning organization to know exactly what Canyon View Elementary stands for.
